Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES) at NYU Abu Dhabi. In my role, I continue to explore the intersection of environmental characteristics, particularly green spaces in urban areas, and human mobility processes. Previously, I worked as a research associate at the University of Hamburg, Germany, where I investigated the relationship between urban green spaces and relocation behaviors. My doctoral research, funded by the German Research Foundation, focused on the social selectivity of residential choices concerning green spaces and their implications for overall quality of life.
I completed my Bachelor's in Sociology, Master's in International Criminology, and doctorate in Hamburg, with a continuous focus on quantitative methods. However, I maintain an openness to exploring various methodologies to gain comprehensive insights into the complexities of human behavior, social structures, and the dynamics of change within societies. My research interests encompass, but are not limited to, developing sustainable and livable cities, well-being, the role of the environment in well-being, life course, and decision-making in mobility behavior.
